| | Observaciones: Jorgensen 3264, proposed as the type of Cleome paludosa var. brevipes in the protolog of the species,
is distributed among various herbaria but without the designation of a holotype. The specimen in the BA herbarium is
designated here as the lectotype as the Catalog of the Phanerogamic Flora of Argentina (Catalogue des phanérogames
de l’Argentine) was based on material deposited in the Buenos Aires Natural History Museum, as well is the fact
that this specimen was identified by L. Hauman (although it does not bear any designation such as “ssp. nov.” or
